ALBEY

Because we follow trends and are happy with everything that is new and progressively developing, we decided to present you our paddle for SUP (Stand Up Paddling) after half a year of testing. Our ALBEY paddle has a more conservative shape. We kept the standard leaf shape without concaves, moldings and other innovations. We focus on clean lines and the fact that the paddle goes smoothly into the water, enables easy control of the bite and goes easily out of the water as well.

All our efforts are directed to the precision of processing. We emphasize low weight while maintaining the required properties of the materials used. We know that there are different paddling styles and everyone needs something a little different from their paddle. That is why our production is focused on the specific needs of each individual and we make paddles to order, according to the specific requirements of the customer. The paddle can be produced in two variants of the blade offset against the plane of the pole called ALBEY 1 and ALBEY 2.

Everyone is comfortable with something different, and it is impossible to say unequivocally what is right. So we retain the option of choice in this regard. The size of the sheet then reflects both the physical capabilities of the paddler and his “concept of the game”. Someone prefers a power shot, while someone prefers a frequency style. Therefore, you can choose from three sheet sizes. The length of the sheet is a fixed 465 mm, and the width is S – 150 mm, M – 160 mm, L – 170 mm.

Another important parameter for a paddle, especially for stand up paddling, is the flexion of the pole. This parameter is also largely a matter of style and customer requirements, but in general it can be said that a solid hard pole is suitable for sprints or short slaloms. In short, where you need a quick start and the absolute transfer of all the rider’s inputted energy through the paddle into the water. On the other hand, a flexible pole is suitable for distance races, where we get the board up to “operating speed” and then with the help of the paddle we must be able to maintain the selected engagement frequency for a longer period of time. Please note that the paddle shaft is flexible, but not soft! In addition to the material used, the flexibility of the rod is determined by the composition of its individual layers.

The pole can be made in 4 variants: soft – kevlar-carbon/carbon, medium – carbon, hard – carbon, slalom – kevlar-carbon/carbon.

For short sprints, a paddle with a larger blade and a hard pole is suitable, for distance races a paddle with a smaller blade and a flexible pole. In the meantime, of course, the other disciplines combining both explosiveness and speed and, of course, also the physical disposition of the fighters who hold the paddle, oscillate.

A specific part of our production is the white water SUP paddle. As we know that both here and abroad there is a community of stand up paddlers who are dedicated to wild water, we offer the option of installing so-called fittings in the lower part of the leaf, which will ensure the durability of the paddle during frequent contact with stones in rivers.
